The process of designing and installing new outdoor living spaces sometimes takes years, but the transformations can feel instantaneous. First done is the site design plan… then a planting plan to coincide with the elements on site, patio, deck, shed, etc. The landscape buildout can include the structural elements first, then the larger trees and shrubs, and perennials. After installation, there is minimal maintenance… watering is the most important. Within a year, native landscapes are established and need little in the way of ongoing watering except during drought. Maintenance in the first few years involves weeding, and pruning, yet after that, little maintenance is required. In about five years… the landscape begins it’s mature stage.
